Corey Haim, a Hollywood teen star of the 1980s who became as famous for his struggles with substance abuse as his acting, died in Los Angeles of an apparent prescription drug overdose. He was 38.
Canadian-born Haim, who rose to fame alongside fellow teen star Corey Feldman, was pronounced dead at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center early on Wednesday, police said.

Authorities say D'Angelo was caught in New York City trying to pay $40 for sex with an undercover cop posing as a prostitute.
Police said Monday that the 36-year-old R&B singer was arrested early Saturday while behind the wheel of his Range Rover.

Customers of Cablevision Systems Corp in New York lost broadcast signals of local station WABC on Sunday morning as the cable operator and TV network were unable to reach agreement on a new contract.
The loss of the signal means Cablevision customers will likely miss the broadcast of this year's Oscars awards extravaganza which is aired by Walt Disney Co's ABC network.

A Los Angeles man accused of stalking Dr. Drew Pinsky and threatening the reality television and radio personality and his family has pleaded not guilty to six felony counts.
Prosecutors say 33-year-old Charles William Pearson entered his not guilty pleas Friday in Pasadena Superior Court.
